8:00 The three of us have buffet breakfast in the White
Swan hotel. The restaurant is huge. It is lovely in its light
burgundy decor. I have never in all my life seen such a large
breakfast buffet. It is truly a treat to come here for
breakfast. There are three large islands loaded with food.
The presentation of the food is impressive. There are enough
food choices here for anyone to have a great breakfast. The
restaurant has a waterfall on one side of it that falls into a
meandering pond filled with large orange and white fish. The
other side of the restaurant is framed by the Yangtze River.
The restaurant employees are dressed very sharply in
uniforms and overall this is a splendid event in and of itself.
Since this is the location of the U.S. Consulate and all
adoptions must pass through this location, this restaurant is
full of families and beautiful Asian babies eating delicious
food and waiting for approval to fly to their respective homes
all over the world. We have met people from France, England,
Canada, and all over the United States.
